What can I get for the money...

I was wondering what I can get for $100-120. I want to buy lights and I'm confused on which are the best ones to get. I know MH are way to high priced so whats the best PC lighting I can get for the money..

It really depends on what you want to keep. Personally, I'm not a fan of PC lighting and would look at VHO or T5. As for MH being to high priced, you generally get what you pay for but there again it depends on what you plan to keep.

Your first decision point needs to be whether you need pendants, retros, or a full hood.

www.tricitytropicals.com I bought a refurb outer orbit 36" 4x96w pc w/3 lunar lights for $150 less than what my lfs was asking. I've used it for a year now and works great, no problems. They also offer discontinued lighting for very little $$$. HTH

You might check out the used equipment forum. I recently bought a 250w MH pendant with fan, ballast and bulb for $100. Replaced the bulb with a 14K Hamilton I found on sale. I've got about $150 in the whole set up.

I see that you have just fish in your tank and no corals. I think that the Current Sattelite dual pc should work in your case and is just about the price your looking to spend. That Fish/Pet Place has them at 36" for 130 bucks.

ok I just checked out thatpetplace.com and found some good buys. But they aren't in stock.I dont want to limit myself to PC lighting what are others that I can buy that will have the same effect or a better effect?
