No each are pics of the RTN spreading after 8 to 9 hrs and fragging them is the only thing that's seems to stop it.

I have done water changes, carbon, and maintain perferct parameters and my larger colonies just keep RTN. All of my frags (15 or so) are fine, but it seems something is off somewhere that's causing these issues. :(

I am right there with you bro. Something is causing so RTN/STN and my "colonies" are nowhere near the size of yours. They are actually still frags.

i myself keep a dsb, but could that be your problem? could it be releasing alot of nasties?

Whatever the cause, i feel for you....i'm sure you've put alot of time and effort and money into these now big boys. Best of luck figuring it out before you lose everything.

If it is getting the large colonies and not the frags how is your flow?

What salt are you using?

I ran carbon last week and use Instant Ocean. My routine of water change is make it and it sits for 2 days for testing and then I change it.

Flow:
Mag 9.5
Tunze 6000 w/controller
MJ 1200 Modded
MJ 900

Tank is 75g... :)

I had this happen in my old tank when I added a RBTA (it was a small tank). Couldn't keep but one acro alive after that. Coincidence? Maybe, but after 3.5 years, the tank was pretty stable. Same progression too...from the base.

Did you add anything lately? Sarco? Anemone? other softie? Carbon doesn't always help...didn't for me.

Just some thoughts. Really sorry for your situation :(

It looks like it is starting deep in the middle of both colonies. Could it be a flow problem that results in RTN that becomes uncontrolable?

The only thing I have done different in the last month was a Red bug treatmeant 3 to 4 weeks ago. It was my first one, so I followed the recommend steps and it worked great. The corals responded good with more polyp extension and etc.

Oh and thanks for the comments guys... When it all comes down to it you just never know with SPS sometimes...

That is the truth blide. I doubt it has anything to do with the treatment though.

No, I just use a 20g fuge and an oversized skimmer.
