He is beautiful. I just bought one 4 days ago, I lost him 3 days ago. a Red Spotted sand perch attacked him 4 times, ripped his fin, after I netted him out to a different tank, he was so shocked he did not eat at all, perished the next day, never even found the body.

I was very sad. Mine was just as beautiful as yours.

there is one at a petstore near me, 50$ and its hardly an inch long. it was laying on the bottom in a corner.

sad thing is that an employee told me it was a bottom feeder and is usualy on the bottom.

Question Are there any major differences between the McCoskers Flasher Wrasse ( Paracheilinus mccoskeri) and the Lyretail or Angular Flasher Wrasse ( Paracheilinus angulatus) ?

I've heard great things about the Mccosker but I like the other one a little bit more. I was trying to keep some sort of wrasse but I dont know what I want. I have a 40 Breeder tank. Other tank mates would be 2 black ocellaris, a flame angel, a purple firefish, and various blennies and gobies. Any advice for me? I want a smaller peaceful wrasse whose colors will complement everyone else... I just want him/her to stand out and get along with everyone.
