I know most people would think my tank is to small for 2 tangs, what are my chances of successfully keeping 2 tangs in the tank. I have had a scopas in there for about a week, he's eating doing fine. I wish to add possibly a small purple tang to almost be the centerpiece fish. what are the chances the scopas has established his territory already? he hasn't showed any aggression toward anything in the tank so far, my foxface keeps him in check during feeding, and also lets the tang know that the nori clip has his name all over it. if not a purple tang, since they are both zebrosoma's, which tang would you suggest?

i don't know if i would try it with the purple..the size of that tank could be a cause of aggression with the tangs..you could try a Tomini or Bristletooth tang..some of the others can get really huge, and be too big for that tank

I would not put two of the same genus in that tank. Add a kole, tomini, or blue eye, IMHO.

I have a 110 and wouldn't put two tangs in the tank. They will end up stressing each other out. I love to pack fish into tanks, but I have learned that tangs really need there space. A single purple tang is a beautiful centerpiece and mine is a swirl of motion in my 110.

I just added a medium sized Purple to my tank and after seeing her in it I won't add another. I've got a coral beauty in the tank and the two are fine together. The eggcrate is a good idea with almost all of the wrasses. If I had to choose between the two (a tough choice) I'd probably go for the angel (maybe a flame or lemmon peel).

This is one of those borderline questions where most people would err on the side of caution. I have had 2 tangs in a 110g for 2 years now and they get alone very well--a Chevron and a Purple. They were both small when put in the tank. I suggest you try it. Be prepared to take one out if the going gets rough or down the road if they outgrow the tank.

i'm def not gonna try a purple or yellow , just for species sake, imma try to get a tomini or a kole of about the same size, acclimate him a few hours before lights out for the night. and see how it goes.

Egg crate will not keep fairy wrasses in the tank. Sorry.
