At first I just saw 1 or 2 of them, now they are ALOT. From the picture of all the hitcher, these are Isopod(pest).

Is it bad for the tank? My tank is quite new about 1 month old and only have some snails in it.

Thanks

And if it is bad, how can I kill them? Thanks

[welcome]

Most likely, what you're seeing are fine to have. You could google sphaeromatid isopod for some pictures for comparison.

It kind of worried me because it reproduce so fast. A week ago I saw 1 or 2 of them. Now they are kind of all over my sand bed and some got on the LR as well.

Hopefully it's not http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-02/bp/index.php

I'm gonna cross my finger. Otherwise I might have to go fish-less for 4-6 months.

And thanks for the help Bertoni.

Actually, if they're reproducing rapidly without fish in the tank, you at least know that they're not obligate parasites - they have some other way to live. By the same token, going fishless will do no good.

This article http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-05/rs/index.php has pictures of ciranolids and sphaeromatid, as well as discussion of them.
