Good afternoon Mr Randy

I use Reefer salt from KZ, it came with 4 parts (base salt, Mg, Ca and Potassium). I ran out of the Mg powder.

Can i use Seachem Reef advance Magnesium to add into my new salt mix for Mg? Seachem Reef Mg contained (Magnesium chloride and sulfate)

Where can i purchase pure Mg chloride? someone told me to use Epson salt... Any idea?

Can you please let me know if sulfate or sulfur will change any chemical balance in my salt mix?

Hmm, a lot depends on what is in the Mg part. Do they give a description? If it's mostly magnesium chloride, there are bulk source of that. If it also contains epsom salt, that's easy to find. Without knowing what's in the magnesium powder, I'm not sure what to recommend.

Jonathan, thanks for respond my post. I spoke to Alexander in Germany. He said the powder is Mg chloride and i can get them at any drug store. But i call rite aid they don't have the power in stock. They only carry the tablet. The base salt came with some Mg but not much (around 900)

Okay, Mag Flake is an okay source for bulk MgCl, if you want to get a 50 lb bag. It should be okay for your tank, although it has some other components besides MgCl.

I bought my Mag Flake from harveysalt.com. The total was about $50 or so with shipping. The cost is mostly shipping. :)
