I just set up my closed loop system this past weekend, and I have gotten the bubbles to lessen, but I can't get them to go away. The only thing that has sch 40 PVC is the intake and the returns peices. The lines to and from the squid are all in PVC tubing. Is it bad to have the squid be 3/4" output lines go into 1" lines? Or is just needing time to run? I have no idea!

when set-up were you able to fill the lines with water (top-off) before starting? I prefilled mine with a turkey baster and this way had no air in the lines and when started had no bubbles after intial starting

For the most part my set up is just like Melevs. I filled the the intake up as much as I could but that was it. I thought about yanking out the whole thing for the fourth time and putting in a check valve in the elbow before the intake tube. I thught this would be the easy part of my weekend tank projects, yet it has been the worst by far. I HATE BUBBLES!!!!
