Can someone tell me what kind of plant this was and where I can find this dried up plant? Its the brown one in the picture.

Looks like the flexible skeleton of a gorgonian species. I've seen them dried for sale at places like petco. Live ones are way nicer

its a Black Sea Fan. many places have them for sale, even ebay. people collect them, dry them out, and sell them as a decoration.

I find those at remote Caribbean beaches fairly frequently (dead, dried ones, of course) and use them as Seahorse Hitching posts. :D
