6 powerheads total 5150 gph

most of the powerheads were added today tank has been up aroun 12 months

counting the sump id say im getting about 50x
if i did it right?

right now it looks like a dust storm in there
should i turn off the powerheads?
will it settle down in the ?

i have 5 fish that i dont want to loose
3 tangs
1 emperor angel
1 O.clown
they are super stressed
my angel was pined on some rock and one of the tangs is getting beat up?

50 x flow is not unusual, I have around 80 x. However it depends what you do with it, how well it is positioned etc. Probably your fish are just not used to it and need a few days to adapt. The dust storm is good, it means crap is getting stirred and made available to the skimmer, eventually your tank will be cleaner.

There is some debate about wether to lower flow at night, but for me, I leave it going 24/7. Long as the fish can find somewhere quiet enough to sleep at night.
I don't turn off to feed, the flow keeps the food in suspension plus the fish have to chase it, probably more fun for them.
