Were corals are, Home vs. Retailer

Ok so i got a mushroom toadstool fianaly, thing was that the retailer was saying that the polyps were staying out only a few hours per day, ok it didnt councern me. But the day after i put it in my aquarium it's polyps were out the whole time the lights were on, thats a big diffrence of a few hours.
I mean its not a bad thing but its a diffrence of like 6-8 hours.
So what i am getting at i guess is have you ever seen this big of a diffrence between what the retailer says and what happens in your aquarium ?

I see this all the time. It usually comes from retailer's lack of knowledge and can often be an indicator of future foul business practices. Just my two cents though.
