I got a small trumpet coral on an impulse buy tonight and I was thinking about putting it in between a patch of zoos on the left and some blue shrooms on the right. Do you think it will fight with those at all? Im new to LPS and don't know a whole lot about them.

Trumpets are supposed to be fairly mild-mannered with short sweeper tents. Not sure how long exactly but I'd still be careful.

This is mine when I first got it and this is most extended I've ever seen the tentacles (feeding time). Got all kind of softies close to it and they've never been harmed.

Thanks, I just looked at him and i can see some very small tentacles. Just to be safe I put him off on his own island for now. I got a 2 polyp frag for $9. Good deal bad deal?

9 dollars is a fair price.
With trumpets, the main issue I have found is with light. They really like lower light then some other lps such as torch and hammers. If your not under halides, I wouldnt worry to much about placement. If you are, id try and put them low in the tank and sort of under an overhang that still gets some light.
