What macro algea is good for tangs?

I was reading the Eric Borneman about myths of our hobby. He was talking about Caulerpa being toxic. I think I have cheato in my fuge. Is there a macro algea that is good for harvesting in your fuge that benefits in a filtration way, and also health for a tang to eat?

My tangs eat grape calurpa toxic or not. They also eat chaeto when it breaks into small peices...but it does'nt digest very well.

I have chaeto hidden in the display...the tangs only bother it when I harvest it and stray peices are moving around.

I keep the grape calurpa in the fuge so they can't get to it untill it's ready.
