I have a 40 gallon cube I have been using as a holding tank for new arrivals before transferring them to my 225. I am now finished stocking my 225 and am thinking of turning the 40 into a refugium or actually just a tank to grow caulerpa. I am currently using a Lifereef overflow. I plan on using the overflow to direct water to my main sump and a pump to pump it back in. Similar to how I'm using it now, except my sump will be the sump for the 225. What is your opinion? Does anyone see in potential problems with this setup?
Thanks
Don

Maybe I should be a bit clearer. I want to build my refugium outside my stand below the main tank, but above the sump. I will pump water from the sump to the refugium and wish to use my Lifereef overflow to return the water to the sump. I know I will need to keep the macro algae from the overflow box, but am wondering about other potential problems. I am thinking of using hard plumbing from my overflow to the sump. I would really appreciate any comments, good or bad.
