I put together a smallish tank and bought a used Remora. (my first small skimmer).

How do you clean the spray head in one of these critters? I was thinking about punching a hole in the top of the ubend down to the nozzle if all else fails.
Seems like there should be a way to clean this thing easier than that is all

When you lift up the collection cup, there is a white screw you take out right at the top of the U bend. New Remoras come with a small pipe cleaner to clean the injector. Im sure you can pick one up at your local home center.

This has no plug, figures... just grey plumbing

the white plug is a feature on the newer model ramoras, you could very well drill and tap a hole and put a short nylon screw in to plug it. thats all they did...lol works great

That is such an odd oversight for a skimmer nozzle it would seem.

Here is a few pic’s to help you out. This is my back-up skimmer for my tank (I’ve already had to deploy it once!) and I really liked it.

Thank you much, I will punch it out in the AM as soon as I find my little pipe tap.
