I need sugestions for pumps to run a 180.
1. looking for a energy efficent return pump figure in 4foot of head space, internall or external.

2. also looking for a closed loop sugestion.

energey efficent is a must this will be an upgrade from my 75 gallon. I dont want all my expenses to sky rocket

thank you Eric

Check out panworld/blue lines. quiet, efficient, inexpensive. made by the guy who used to make iwaki's. look on marine depot's website.

Velocity T4 on my 180. Perfect flow and quiet as a mouse. Much quieter than the Panworld 100PX-X I had on it.

I run Pan-World 100PX-X. Good energy consuption, dead quiet if you put a piece of carpet under it, good flow, low heat transfer.

I HOPE U HAVE A CHILLER IF NOT U WILL BE NEEDING ONE , UNLESS UR NOT RUNNING THEM ALOT., HOW MANY 90 DEG ANGELS U HAVE FROM THE PUMP TO THE RETURN LINE IN THE TANK , IF U HAVE ALOT OF THEM THATS WHATS KILLING UR FLOW.
SOME OF THE AQUARIUM CALCUALTOR WEB SITES WILL GIVE U,
WHAT SIZE PUMP U WOULD NEED DEPENDING ON HOW MANY 90DEG TURNS U HAVE. GIVE IT SHOT. THE RTL100 I'M USING WAY TO STRONG FOR U, 2000GAL HR, LOL I USE THAT IN MY 600GAL TANK.

Take a serious look at Sequence Reeflo pumps. I'm using 2 Darts for closed loops and 1 Dart for sump return. Each Dart is 3600 gph at 150 watts, with a 3 year warranty. I bought mine at www.reefexotics.com . They are a sponsor here at RC.

Look into the eheim 1262, energy efficient and very quiet, as in silent
