No! They are not reefsafe!
I tried with my Raccoon [even though I new it wouldn't work] and he quickly destroyed the polyps and Mushrooms I put in:rolleyes: I had to go get a small tank to rescue my corals..And the reef kept getting bigger and bigger;) My Raccoon is the reason I have 2 tanks

I had good luck with an auriga (threadfin) in a softie reef but you really do have to watch which corals you keep. I was successful with leathers, shrooms, polyps, and anemones. He promptly ate a frag of torch I got from a friend and I never tried SPS, so I would say LPS are probably out.

They are some of the most destructive butterflies you could add.
If you like the way they look check out the pyramid butterfly. Great fish and will never bother any corals.
