Well after two months of planning, buying, testing, and preparing I finally got my 20g High up and running. I added 25 lbs of Marshall Island LR from Premium Aquatics this past Friday. The stuff looks really nice with lots of color. I've seen a couple of pods so far and a aptasia. I went to get some forceps to pull it off and the booger disappeared. Hopefully it won't survive the cycle. Here's all the specs:

20 gal High Tank
10 gal Sump
2 Coralife 14 watt 10,000K T-5 & 14 watt Actinic (28 watts total)
Tunze Turbella 6025
2 Maxi-Jet 1200 (One for return pump, other for skimmer)
AquaC Urchin Skimmer
100 watt Heater
TCP 19 watt/85 watt CF Sump light
Digital Thermometer
120mm Variable Speed Fan
25 lbs Marshall Island Live Rock (Added 12/29/2006, Premium Aquatics)
5 lbs Live Rock Rubble (Added 12/30/2006, Fish Doctors)
20 lbs Caribsea Fiji Pink Reef Sand
Reef Crystals Sea Salt
Approx 25 gal water capacity

My parameters so far are the following:

Amm: 0
Nitrite: 0.25
Nitrate: 5
Phos: 0.1
KH: 13.8
pH: 8.3
Salinity: 36
Temp: Currently 77.7

I added a 120 mm fan today and it dropped the temp by 3 degrees with is what I was shooting for.

Very nice kfowler!

BTW - I wouldn't take bets on Aiptasia being killed in a cycle! They survive just about anything! :hammer: I'd get ready to hit it w/ a slurry of kalkwasser/water or some Joe's Juice the next time you see it if I were you. :uzi:

Yeah you figure if they've survived this point they can make it through a cycle. I know it came in on the rubble I bought. I've been keeping an eye out if he rears his ugly head again. We'll see.

After running a night with the fan running, I woke up this morning to find my temp had dropped to 72. Yuck! I turned up my heater several notches and turned the fan down some. The temp is starting to rise. Looks like it's going to take some tweaking to get some stability.

BTW, my house A\C is programmed to drop to 61 degrees at night and when we're away from home during the weekdays. I imagine that this is not great for maintaining consistent water temp however I figured the lights and the heater would take care of this.

Anyone have a programmable A\C thermostat at home? Any problems with your tank temps?

Thanks for all the replies.

Nice job. Why only 28 watts of light?
