I've had one for a year now... always produced water with 0 tds. I have replaced the horizantal DI units with a vertical canister, but have no complaints about the unit.

Buyer beware. You get what you pay for with almost all RO/DI and cheap is not the way to go. You will soon have much more invested trying to make it work right than if you had bought a good unit to begin with.
Several RED FLAGS that should jump out at you arethey do not tell you what membrane is in it. I believe it to be a Chinese knockoff not even labelled for sale in the US. They use granular carbon instead of two carbon blocks, there is a bunch of mismatched fittings holding it all together etc.....

Look at several of the Reef Central sponsors, they ar all saltwater hobbyists and know what it takes to build a good reef system.

I don't understand why any unit would ever have a post carbon taste and odor cartridge directly after DI? If it's for drinking, then you should reconfigure the system so you don't waste DI resin on purifying drinking water. If it's for reef use, then the post carbon filter will actually add tds back. This design is really flawed. At a minimum you will at least need to reconfigure it for dual outlets. One for RO only drinking and one for RO/DI (NO POST CARBON) for reef.

I agree with Rat. Just go with one of the RC sponsors and don't look back.

Overpriced and you'd really be better off with a Dow Filmtec 75GPD membrane from the vendors listed above.

Great system..... Sure you can go out and get something better, but 0 ppm is still 0 ppm.

Spend the extra little bit and get the OceanReef +1 unit, you will be glad you did. It gets you an autoshutoff valve, pressure gauge, TDS meter, vertical refillable 24oz capacity DI system and a flush valve. More than worth the difference.
