Light bulb help

Hello all

Its time to change bulb. Anyone use the Ishio 400w se with HQI ballast? How the color and par? Compare to Radium? Life of the bulb? Pics? Would you buy again?
Any other recommendations? I like blue look of radium.

Hello Acanlord, my friend Loc01 running Ushio 20k 400w in his system with Pulse start ballast. Color very similar with radium, may be a little brighter, as far as par still TBD by Ushio.

As for me, i run Ushio 20K 1000watter with pulse start ballast, i really like it. My corals love it as well. Here is some pic of my Cube under 1x1000w halide.

If you want to see Loc01 tank pic, it is in Southern Cal forum on 2nd or 3rd page. He used to run XM20K for years till he try to Ushio. Good luck to you with the new bulbs, hope you'll like it.
