Hey guys,

I picked up a kole tang from you about 2 months ago. I was thrilled that he ate pellet but I'm wondering if he needs to eat greens to stay healthy? He's an active swimmer and eats well but he's getting pale. I've put nori in the tank but he ignores it. Can they live on pellet alone? Is there a veggie pellet? I use one of the pellets you sell (can't remember the brand).

I would suggest introducing other foods into the diet. I am usually not an advocate of just one type of food. Try frozen prepared foods like Emerald Entree or Brine Shrimp enriched with Spirulana algae. Also, consider a vitamin supplement like Selcon. Maybe even try a new piece of Live Rock that would have natural foods on it. Color loss could also be caused from disease. So, monitor the fish closely.

Greens are very important. There are algae pellets that may help.

I personally love this food. But it has not sold very well. It is a bit more expensive. The ingredients it lists are impressive.

That sucks. Did he show any signs of illness? Other than being pale? HLLE?
