Lumenarc III how far off the top?

Just got my LIII in today, but how far off the surface should the fixtures
be. What's the best way to mount ?

are you using the glass? ac unit? i have mine 8" with out the glass 250w

plexiglass and no ac but in a cool area. Will the unit get hot?

you'll be fine. i have mine 6 inches off the surface without glass and temp is perfect with a fan over the sump
