Does Elos sell there Plannet II lighting fixtures seperately, and do they make a 2x250W HOI + T5 fixture. Price, dimensions, info would be nice. The Elos website is not very user friendly, its difficult to understand exactly what the full range of products in lighting are.

Sorry just my thoughts, any info would be nice. Thanks MGB

I understand your thoughts and there is no need to apologize. The website was really made to give basic information and in my opinion is really geared towards the european market that has the luxury of seeking out local stores with elos products. As we grow in the US we will obviously have more stores in more locations but as it stands I completely understand your view and we have talked about this and changes will be made but feel free to call, email, pm or post if you have any specific questions that the website does not cover.
On to the lighting. We sell everything we make as stand alone products and the lights are no exception. We do not have a 2x250w currently but we will offer this and it will likely be ready on the next shipment in late february, early march. The price will likely be around $1500-1600 but that is just an estimate. If you look in the "Interzoo pictures" thread you will see a wall with different planet hood colors and the internal parts of the 2x250, 1x150 light that I will carry for the US. We do carry 250w planet pendants now with external ballasts but these are single 250w, so you would need two of these smaller units. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Jesse,

Not that the Elos 150W 10K's aren't bringht enough. But would it be possible to upgrade my fixture to 2 X 250W by swapping the ballasts? Not that I want to do this tomorrow or anything but just wondering. :)

150w and 250w DE ends are different and the reflector on your light is specifically for the 150 bulb so it would be a lot of work for really very little benefit for your application. Before you considered this I would have another "family meeting" and decide on the 160xl with the new 2x250watters for another room in the house:) Ok that was a joke.

Well you heard it here first, Elos USA will have to increase prices due to the new security system we were forced to install:)
