I know you guys are gonna rag on me for even doing this but I have a CSS 220 on my 380g lightly stocked FOWLR tank. I plan on upgrading but it will be several months before I can afford the ASM G4X that I plan on buying. Until then I am going to keep my tank stocked lightly to avoid any problems. The skimmer is not skimming that well for some reason. When I had it on my 90g it skimmed really good. It is the needlewheel version too. I know that there are people who have modded these units where they are super efficient. Is there any mods I can do to up the ante. Seems like there is no medium between a dry skim and a wet skim on my skimmer. I've read something about a meshwheel mod. Will this give me better skimmate?

I won't rag on you, i have a CSS 125 on my 240 gallon LOL. If your tank is lightly stocked i would think your skinmate would not be as much as it was on your 90g. Make sure your pump is about 2-3 inches from the surface and you don't have any clogs in the air lines and the silencer. There are a few posts floating around that have alot of mods done to this skimmer.

How do I get to these links? They go to archives and I guess I can look through them but hopefully there is a better way.

Thanks
