For saltwater mixed from a salt mix, it'll keep forever if covered to prevent evaporation. Same for RO water. Water that has organic matter in it will undergo some decay, and that's not good.

RO if stored properly should keep for quite some time if sealed in a proper container and kept in the dark. Bacteria will be able to grow in it because the chemicals used to keep them down have been removed but it really wouldn't be much to worry about.

go to a hardware store and buty empty bukets with sealable lids mnix your water ahead of time to the right salinity and seal it up. It will keep for a year at least. When I need to do a water change, I just heat/aerate it up, make a final check on specifics. and throw it in tank. this is conveniant because I only do 1 gallon water changes every week. So it is simple and quick., you don't have to play around with salt forever.
