Is anyone using Ozone without connecting it to their skimmer?

I was thinking of using a venturi injector or a mixer instead of my protein skimmer. Any thoughts on this?

I made a DYI ozone reactor with an additional carbon canister. I'll try to post pics tonight with an explanation of how it works.

I just use a 4" piece of pvc with an airstone as a DIY ozone reactor. Similar to the snailman skimmer design without the collection cup.

At this time I am trying to inject ozone through a eductor into my refugem , it seems to be working ok . Not overdosing ozone turned down real low on a controller.I would still use a controller in your case.
