I have set up a 10 gallon DIY refugium. Right now im using a basking lamp fixture from Home Depot with a 75 watt day light. I think its about 1200 lumens. My question is, what is the right light for this? Or is what im using ok?

I think that's about what I use. I got a screw in type compact flourecent full spectrum, I think it's 13w. I have cheato & feather and grape calurpa growing like crazy.

My homedepot light is 65w and 6500K they make a 24 or somthing watt also. Won't you get bad algea blooms if the lumens are to low?
Make sure you drill holes in the top or it won't last long.

I've had my setup going for about 2 months and haven't had any algae problems. I also have a very small bioload...Someone else may want to chime in tho.
