Anemone

I have a anemone that has just split in two. It is getting to be a pain stinging all my corals. And now there are two. I would like to try and get one off the rock and take it to my LFS for trade. Any ideas on how to get the little guy to let go of the rock and capture him or her unharmed. I would get rid of both but my clown thinks the world off them. Jerry

Some tricks I have heard in the past for moving them are putting an ice cube against the foot to make them release the rock, and easing either a thin plastic card or your fingernail under the foot and gently prying them up. If you can convince it to move onto the glass the prying trick would be easier. You can adjust the flow in the tank to point at it to try to make it move where you want, just be sure any powerheads, etc., have the intakes protected so you don't get a 'nem sucked into it and destroyed.
