I dont want to start a discussion on cures for bryopsis.
I have found in my reading that bryopsis will disappear on its own in NEW tanks. I was curious if anyone has found this to be true?

Has anyone out there just let it run its course like you would an initial diatom bloom?

How long did it take?

Again I am not looking for ways to get rid of it. I have already read all of those posts. Thanks.

I had it on a couple rocks and I think it was about 8 months or so from when I first saw it, it grew rapidly, then was gone for good. I had a few patches of it that were about 1"x1" and the stalks got up to about 3/4".

I did prune it from time to time to stop it from getting too out of hand though. I did change my tank inhabitants and filtration, but I won't go into that because you don't want to know and I really don't know if it had any effect.

BTW, my tank was between 1.5-2.5 years old when I introduced the Bryopsis so you have an idea of it's maturity.
