external skimmer insump?

Can an external A110 or A150 skimmer be run in sump? Will it effect the performance of the skimmer? Thanks

As long as you keep the outflow above the water level of the sump, your skimmer won't even know it is in a sump! I run my external lifereef skimmer in sump so I don't have to worry about leaks, overflows, etc.

Yep, external skimmers can be installed in sump or externally and the same holds true... just don't have the exhaust terminated underwater and you'll be just fine. The nice thing about external recirculating skimmers is that it isn't sensitive to sump changes.
