Can you keep a Copperband butterfly with Maxima or Corocea Clams? I heard that you can get them to eat littleneck clams, so if they do eat littleneck clams, should i assume they will eat all clams?

Mine destroys little-neck clams and anything I put into a shell ( he'll eat frozen mysis out of a clam shell). I wouldn't risk it with Tridacnas.

Have you seen that thread where a Copperband butterfly got his snout stuck in a Tridacna?

I have had my coperband for going on 13 months: http://www.danj.com/reef/fish_detail.php?fish_id=24 he has not bothered any of the Tridacnas that I have... BUT I would be cautious with this additon.

No, i would love to see it.

I want to get him feeding on little necks just so he can have a well balanced diet, but then again, i would like to have some clams in the future. I have known several people that have both copperbands and clams but never having both and feeding them Littlenecks.

Right now i am feeding him Mysis, Blood Worms, and Brine, Mainly Mysis every other day, then Blood worms or brine on the other days. What else can i feed Him?
