I am adding a 14-20 inch tower to the center of my reef this weekend. Am looking to get some polyps to grow up the tower. Also am looking into adding one coral to the top of the tower to sway in the current. Lighting is t-5. Flow is pretty good in this area, but nothing crazy. The coral will be elevated at least 5 inches above and from any other coral. Not interested in Xenia.

Can be softies, lps. Was thinking about purchasing a decent sized torch coral.

Any other suggestions?

Gonipora are sweet in the waves. But are darn hard to keep alive without adequate food. IIRC I dont think they are good on top of the rock, but rather on the sand they will do better.

The kind of GSP with longer stalks is quite nice at waving in the current, will cover a surface, isn't aggresive and won't grow away from the surface. These pictures are they kind I mean:

All the euphilia (frogspawn, hammer, torch) look really beautiful swaying but I like frogspawn the best - it has the illusion of more tentacles. Especially the green and pink kind.
