15 gal refugium help!

hey im making a 15 gal refugium and im having trouble with some of the dimensions. I found a place that will cut the acrylic sheets for me but i need to know the specific dimensions.
Im basing my project on the plans i found at this site: found here (http://www.reefcentral.com/images/sump.gif)
has anyone done a 15 gal before that can tell me the dimensions of the acrylic sheets i need? from estimation it looks like i need 5 sheets at 11 3/4 length x 6 1/2 hieght? but im not positive..

also im confused on the way the refugium is set up, is it supposed to be
water in from tank>LR and LS refugium>protein skimmer and return pump
or is it
water in from tank and protein skimmer>LR and LS> return pump

edit: the dimensions of the 15gal are 24 1/4 x 12 1/2 x 12 3/4

Make the 5 sheet exactly the same, take the internal wide X the height you want the water to be in the first 2 stage.

I would go for around 8-10" personnaly
