View Full Version : Lighting Idea for cube tank.

tank is 30" x 30" x 18" 70gal cube.

i dont want to use those hanging ones. since i dont want to put holes in the ceiling. i will be keeping mostly softies and a few lps ( brains & frogspawns)
coralife aqualight pro doesnt come in 30"...only 24" 36" etc.
my other options are

Here are some inexpensive T5 fixtures that come in a 30" length and mount on your tank rim:

I've seen them at a LFS but I have not used them. Do inquire about the reflectors.

buy a hanging pendant and build some kind of stand

I saw a Coralife Aqualight T5 in a LFS in Colorado over a soft coral frag tank. I admired the simple design but admit that I did not take a close look at it. What did you notice about it?
