View Full Version : HELP:Wiring a 150HQI ballast/igniter question???

I have a coralife HQI ballast with an igniter that i am not sure how it wires up.The igniter has 3 terminals and the ballast has three wires.The igniter is marked B Lp and N.The ballast has a white,black and red wire coming out.And of course the bulb socket has 2 white wires.I posted a pic of the igniter in my gallery.If any one can help me out I would really appreciate it.

If you can get me a better picture of the diagram, I may be able to help you out. Also, there should be a diagram on the ballast. Having these two will help you get an answer!

Hi,

I think I have the same ballast running over my liverock curing tub. Its a black metal rectangular ballast. I'm going off memory but I think this was how I wired mine.

(red) (white) (black) if looking down on the ignitor. Both the (red) and (black) leads from the Corallife ballast will need to be wired into your pendant or pendant harness. In my case I used a SLS Lumenmax, so I had two wires going into (red) and (black).
