Is the the OLD seio m620 model? Does it pump the same amount as the new ones, 620GPH? I just installed this and it works great but the flow is not as much as I thought it would be.

Those are the same as the new ones. The only differece is the head usually has a "cover" on it. Most people prefer to take the cover off it and mount it like you have shown. And yes, you're right, for being 620 gph, you'd think it'd really move some water, but its more of a gentle flow. I see you have it the whole way open too as I do (the little intakes near the bigger part of the pump). I wish now I would have went with the 820.

Well I only have a 30g so its fine. I was just expecting more flow but I think this is enough for my tank. I might get another small maxijet just to cover any dead spots

thanks for the post

Also, one thing to note since I see there's alot of coraline on that pump. Soak it in white vinegar and a water mix overnight, then in the morning let it run in the mix for a few hours. Perhaps your impeller has some calcium buildup on it. The vinegar will remove this. Just be sure to rinse with ro water after you get done soaking it.
