I was wondering if it would be okay to add a firefish with my other livestock. It includes a green clown goby, tail spot blenny, a six line wrasse, i also have a peppermint and cleaner shrimp. I have a dersa and planning on getting a crocea clam too. All my perameters are 0 (NH3, NO2, & NO3) Just wanting your thoughts.

Thanks
X

A firefish would be fine with those other inhabitants.

Pick what kind of firefish you want carefully. You only get one...

Personally, I wish I had bought the purple dude.

I've read that the regulars are more personable.....

Firefish are excellent jumpers ! Is your tank covered?

You have all pretty much bottom dwellers & plan to add another one?

Firefish r cool, but might have real estate problems in a 20 with the blenny, wrasse & possibly goby.

Personally, I'd get something else to mix it up. Perhaps a royal gramma, clown or something else that will swim the entire tank.

You can fit an egg crate tile on your tank to help! You know ,those plastic grids you see covering ceiling lighting in drop ceilings!

No eggcrate/top. He'll cast shadows with the MH. Besides, my firefish hasn't jumped in 2 yrs with an open top.

you could put plexi glass sides around the tank so he mite jump out of the water but not make it out of the tank

Or you could just staple the fish to a rock................ just kidding!
I don't need any animal activist calling me!

Well, i'm not looking for a clown or a royal grama. My tail spot has been out a lot more since the i got the 6 line. But my clown goby is a pretty big hermit. . . . . .i'm looking for something that swims &/or is out in the open a lot.

stay away from the firefish. The sixline will pick on it for sure. I would not add anymore fish.
