A friend of mine just lost her little yellowtail damsel that was purchased in 1987!!! It was the tankmate of a stars n stripes puffer that I believe is about 15yrs. old. The puffer could have eaten the little guy without even knowing it, he's probably 24'' long and very round.

:eek: I hope my fish will live that long. Thats amazing, not that it died but that it was around for so long lol

It's cool that a little damsel could live so long. Makes me wonder how long the puffer is going to be around. I'm thinking it's got a longer lifespan than that.

I've had a yellowtail for 11 years. Hopefully, he makes it to 20........

for all of you that have that evil damsel in your tank....there goes your hopes of he kickin it on his own.

that is a long time with one fish, its seems most people don’t even stay in the hobby that long, and is even more rare to keep a fish alive that long. sounds like a Responsible Reefer to me.
