I was interested in putting my Tunze 6025 on a Blueline Tsunami wavemaker on 15-30 minuet cycles. I was wondering if the ~15 minuet on/off cycles would have any impact on the pump's life or performance?

As a sidenote, with all of the controversy, I would like to make it known what a wonderful product I think the 6025 is. The flow is amazing and has really made a difference in my tank. A great product.

What size tank do you have? What other powerheads are you running?
I don't have an answer to your question, I'm a new dude:D .

I just ordered an 6060 and a 6025 for my 58G, I think that'll get water moving.

From what I gather you can run the 6025s on a wavemaker but it is recommended that the interval be no less than 15min. I have also read that it can affect the life of the pump. Although, I am unsure of how dramatic it may cut its' lifespan.

As you know when the 6025s powerup there are a couple clicks from at startup from the prop syncing. Other than that I can't notice any performance of the pumps.

Also, you are correct they are amazing :)

Basically the less start up cycles the longer the pump lasts but at 15 minutes you should still get 3-5 years from them.
