I just purchased a new fish, a striated tang. 25g QT already set up in anticipation of purchase with PVC, biowheel filter, PH, and cheato. Used water from display 1.026 sg. Guy at LFS didnt seem to have a clue, he keeps his sg at 1.004 I have yet to verify this.
Questions
1) Should I drop the sg in QT to match what the fish is in?
2) Will this kill the biofilter already set up in the QT?
3) If the fish should be acclimated to the QT how long?
I'll give details of discussion with LFS after fish is in QT. Kinda disturbing to me anyway.
