20k Only tanks?

I'm thinkg about going just a 250 watt 20K Pendent for over my 37 gallon since I really like a blue look to my tanks. I know it will be harder to photograph but does anyone have any picture of a 20k only display?

Here is a shot of my 75 reef with only two 250 Radiums on PULSE start ballasts. Real clean looking sharp blue light. Even my devils hand turned green in there. I like the strong blue light in this tank because it houses mostly green softies. There are 5 different green sinularias and three different colored green star polyps and so on. :) The bulbs last a year without any noticable change. I grew a palleta blue stag frag to a 10" colony in two years in there. It had wicked green highlights on the polyps. (yeah, yeah, past tense I know. I won't go into what happened to it or the green milli seen at the left) :( There are a couple close ups in my gallery.

The hqi ballast will give a 14k color on these bulbs and they'll burn out in half a year. The devils hand goes back to original color under these ballasts. So for me, longer bulb life, and better color pop, the pulse ballast is prefered. Also, I've never tried any of the electronic ballasts.

There are lots of different blue halides out there today, and I hope you enjoy whichever setup you choose.

How's your Achiles doing in that tank. Is he aggresive toward the other one.

the achiles passed away a few months back. he was about 8yrs old.i had 2 yellow tangs and the achiles they all got along great.

Does he have any bad tendency?

the one i had ws very good he never did anything wrong.i would go for it.i want to get a new one but the wholesale place i get get fish from hasent had any.
