Yeah, the goby was the first one i visualized in the tank when i decided to start one.Had to get a perc for my wife first, though.
Stumbled on him a couple of days ago ,so I went for it!

Just to let you know , the water and liverock was from my 55 gallon tank that has been running for 4 yeays! That is why things are going so fast!

I know its hard ,but don't rush it with a new system.
Maybe buy One specimen at a time and wait a week or two before the next!
How long has your system been running? what are you planning on buying first?

Here is my brand new 12 gal nano. I have a 24" Coralife Aqualite Pro w/150w 10,000k HQI MH w/ 2 96w True Actinics and 2-1 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow 470nm LED lamps.

I took a 6 month break to get married, buy a house and have a baby. Now that I am settled I am ready to go again. My last tank was a 30g cube mixed reef that went to Sh!t becasue of a nasty hair algae bloom that I didn't stay on top of. Thinking back makes me sick because I lost so many beautiful things. But it was my own fault. I had so much going on at the time and I didn't give the reef the attention it needed. Before the 30g I had 2 other 12g nanos that were beautiful. The last picture is of my last nano. I transferred most of its contents to the 30g that crashed.

The new reef is not much to look like but I am very excited to get going again. The reffs only occupants so far are a little xenia and a red gorgoina. I will update the thread as I move forward.

Thanks! I can't wait to get back there either. One plus is that the rock in the new 12g is from my old tanks and is very well cured. I stored it for 3 monthd in a heated cooler with a PH. It's nice when you can start adding quickly. It can be painful waiting on the cycle.

kkyyllee, def not any more fish for you! As those fish grow it might be to much of a bioload on that size tank. Just keep an eye on your water parameters.
the zoas and polyps are a good choice ,very hardy.

Thanks kkyyllee! Yeah, I loved my old nano. It was so healthy. But as you can see it got filled up and I thought I had to go bigger. Thats when I transferred everything to the 30 cube. Although I liked the 30 I came to realize that I like nano systems much better. There is just something about viewing a chunk of the ocean in such a small space that fascinates me. I'm thinking about setting 2 or 3 nanos 1 at a time all running from a central fuge/sump. I think that would look pretty cool and it will satisfy my addiction without having to get a bigger tank. For now I am gong to concentrate on keeping this tank happy and healthy.
