I have been looking at getting a coral tank from glass cages it is 36 x 36 3/4 x 10 inches tall w/ a center overflow

I am wondering would a 250 W SE or 400W SE be good enough for this tank. Being as shallow as it is, I know the bulb is strong enough to light it but would the spectrum spread out far enough for one bulb to light the entire tank.

2nd question

Would a 250W or a 400W bulb heat this tank up so bad that a chiller would be a must???? I already have 250W and a 400W retros, but am concerned that either of these will cook this tank. I am looking to use this as a frag tank and eventually a clam tank, any opinions would be great.

You could use a luminarc reflector to get enough coverage

I wouldnt order anything from glasscages.com. See my experience in feedback. Horrible online vendor.
