Recently got a coralife superskimmer 65 for my 29 Mixed tank,
after about 5 days of tweaking and mods, i am able to get it to skim and have no complaints, Its pulling alot of stuff out of my tank

But how do i get it to be quite, the little air diffuser that hangs out the tank is making all this noise! It doesn't help that i'ts in my ROOM,

I have noticed that when i put my finger on the output of the air diffuser, it speeds up the induction of the bubbles into the collection cup, If i speed it up, the waste water is not a dry skim, but wet

Do I plug it up to silence it and tweak the skimmer to slow down the flow?

I would not do this. I think you would have an overflow.

I wonder what would happen if you used 2 silencer's in series?
