Hey guys,

I am wanting to clean out one tank completely, and do some major
pruning in the other tank.

Anyone up for a Saturday coral sale in Peoria?

Here's what I've got:

Soft corals:
Green Star polyps: $5 large unmounted frag. (I have lots!)

Ricordia Florida: Green (apprx 5 polyps on rock) $20

R. Florida: orange: (1 polyp on rock) $10

Purple gorgonian $10

Eunicea spp. Gorgonian (med/large) $15

Pipe organ (med head with some algae in it) $10

leather cabbage (med) $15

bright green leather branch (large) $15

Large branching Sinularia $35 (I've had this sucker for 15 plus
years. It would be even larger except I prune it pretty hard)

Hard Corals:

branching frogspawn $5 per head (unless someone wants the whole
colony)

Caulastrea (candy cane ) small colony $10 frag $5

Monti cap frags (lavender) unmounted $5

Monti cap frags (tan with blue polyps) $5

green Hydnophora (largish frag) $20

coral encrusted liverock:

I have some unusual pieces if anyone is interested:

green Ricordia yuma attached to a rock that is covered by a large
black sponge/tunicate. (I think it's a photosynthetic tunicate but
have never taken the time to ID. It is very hardy.
$20

Full sized rock smothered in xenia and red mushrooms, and green
ricordia yuma. $20

Large rock encrusted with green Pavona, green star polyps, and xenia
$30

xenia and yuma covered rock $15

lrg chunk of liverock totally covered by corals including competing
Monti caps (two different purples) and by green ricodia yuma, red
mushrooms, xenia, purple (now tan with purple polyps) M. digitata,
Yellow/tan Acropora Millepora, and a small patch of pavona.
There are a couple aiptasia that need to be tweezed out, but
otherwise it's an awesome piece.
$75

Fish:

mated pair of Percs $20

One spot blenny $15

Liverock:

Not sure how much is in there...somewhere between 30-50 lbs. There is
some hair on some of the pieces though, but not too much. Most of it
is around the base of the large sinularia for some reason.
$80

and of course, free unmounted xenia to whoever wants it.

email, or pm me if interested.

Wow Dan, great prices ... I remember you starting me out with my purple monti collection. I grew the one large purple monti cap frag out to about 12" and fragged the crap out of it before that. I'm down to a silver dollar sized piece of it now to start the whole process over. I always loved your sps collection. Pics for us ? :)

Thanks guys, I think everything is pretty much spoken for now.

I'll work on sending out directions to everyone who's coming.

Epon, I'll try to post pics later. I'm breaking down the tank upstairs, and making space in the tank downstairs. Going for the 'fewer, but Bigger corals" look.

Let me rephrase that......everything is spoken for except the green star polyps and xenia. Still have tons of gsp to peel off the glass.

I'll take the gsp's if you're just looking to get rid of them and I have a tank I am trying to set up for a teacher so the xenia would be great as well ! Lemme know !

No problem with it turning "black" or anything....it did just fine!!!

And the other....

After being in the tank for about 5 minutes they started just popping out!!!! They seem to be doing really well. Thanks a bunch.

If you end up needing to make more room, definitely send me a note.

Rick, it was nice meeting you, and I"m glad the corals are opening up for you!

Audrey, that coral in the second pic should look a little familiar to you. It's a frag of a frag from you!

Thanks Dan!

Still acclimating the corals I got from you but I am very excited to be adding them to my tank. Beautiful stuff!!!

After seeing your tank I want a big tank that is a room divider. If only I had a place to have a tank like that!

Thanks for everything, I'm sure I'll be seeing you at future meetings.

Thanks to everyone who came and bought corals and helped me get the tank emptied out. My bedroom is suddenly a lot quieter without all the gurgling from the tank! It was nice meeting you all.

Lots! You want it by the frag, or by the square-foot?

LOL!!!! Well I DO have a lot of back glass to cover....I've never had it before but my husband likes it and wants some. Is it difficult to encourage it to grow on the glass at first?

No. You might even be able to superglue it directly to the glass (superglue doesn't stick all that well to glass, but gsp's grow fast enough that they might form their own attachment before the glue fails.)

The better/safer way is to tie the gsp to a rock and then just lean the rock against the glass and wait. Once they are acclimated to your tank and start growing you won't have to wait long.
