Hey guys, can you help me with this one.. i have no clue what it is.. i would think it would be some sort of eel but it just dosent resemble it in the face.. he is about 12-13 in right now..

Pholidichthys leucotaenia, known as the convict or engineer goby. It is not in the goby or blenny family though. THey like to dig.

one more question, how much should i feed him? any sugestions on portion size and how often, i read 2 times a day somewhere but i have no idea how much.

I think once a day would be fine. Probably a couple chunks of shrimp or other meaty food at a time. I had 2 many years ago and fed them every day. Good luck with yours.

agian thanks a bunch, tried krill and he didnt seem intrested.. got some shrimp on the way hope he likes that.. seems every sight ive looked at has somthing compleatly diffrent to say about them.. from diet to size, good to hear from somone with experiance with them.

I have six of them...

mine eat flake, frozene brine shrimp,and chopped up raw shrimp.
they eat everyday ...they are not a shy fish when it comes to eating...all six of mine are 13-14 inch range and stay prety much together
