i noticed that i have these worm like things attached to several of my live rocks and when i do water changes or the sand gets a little stirred up, some stringy/web like substance comes out of the tube like worm...the string stuff goes away after a little bit of my fish don't pick at it first but it doesn't look good. anyone know what this might be and how i can get rid of it, safely? also i noticed some pinkish brown spots on my tank..im assuming its flatworms? does flatworm exit work because im about to buy some?

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the worms. There are tons of different kinds of worms, and the general consensus seems to be that most of them are benficial.

As far as the flatworms go, you should probably try to ID them before you add chemicals to the tank.

Here are a couple links that could help:

The tube-like worm is likely a vermetid snail. Google will turn up some pictures. Flatworm eXit works on the reddish flatworms Convolutriloba retrogemma, but two applications are often needed, in my experience. I'd id the worms before using the product.
