I added a fuge to my sump about 2 months ago and I am getting cyano in the fuge only not in display tank the fuge has a 4 inch sandbed and holds about 5 gal water how do I get rid of it

You could try using a turkey baster and suck it out. You running any macro in the fuge?

oh yea I keep cheato alge and run the lites opisite my tank lites

It may be just the fuge maturing some. I had a similar incident when I originally added my fuge. Cyno in there, but not the display. It eventually went away on it's own.

whats the problem with having the cyano in the fuge? If it's not in the display shouldn't it be ok?

I get it in mine too-- I just export it an the nutrients it takes up regularly-- it grows on some of the hair algae growing on the walls of my fuge--- usually near the water surface-- I pull some hair algae covered with cyano by hand one or two times per week
