OK, lookin' for opinions here... I bought a new metal halide bulb the other day for almost $40. The glass and all looks spankin' new but the actual "heart" of the bulb looks like I would expect it to look like if it was used. Since on my other bulb this part is white - I thought I'd ask some reefers: do they look like this new? I expected the glass to be clean and perfect on a new one and the outside glass is - but the center piece inside(not sure what it's called) is a little dirty. Perhaps it is like this from testing?
Anywho the bulb itself is nice and great color - just wanted to make sure I didn't get sold an old bulb.
