I actually had trouble finding test caps.
What I did find was sink drain that has the flange on it, can be purchased in 6 inch length and is thin wall. It looks like the prefect thing. Its 1 1/2 inch just like the test cap.
My order hasnt come in yet from Tower Hobbies so Ill bring back my news as to whether it works but I did pull the MaxiJet 1200 housing and compare the flange thickness on the housing and the drain. The drain piece is about double the thickness of the housing flange. However, a palm sander can fix that in a hurry.
Anyways, Home Depot had the item made by Watts, its labeled 706666H, with a SKU of 0145339 and UPC of 42805 08155 6
Its in the sink plumbing section, NOT in the PVC fitting section.
