I have been attempting to maintain the tanks my ex boyfriend and I have been running and unfortunately he knew everything about the equipment and I knew nothing at all.
Well I have these two things on the top and the one on the right shoots out water and the one on the left is supposed to spin. They used to alternate every 10 minutes so neither would be on the same time. Well, the one on the right shoots out water all of the time and the one on the left that spins has not turned on for a while now.

When I asked him about it this is what he said:
"inside the round thing you will see little icons or pictures and there will be a little arrow as to what they are pointing to. Make sure the little arrow is on the middle, not one of the outside ones. I know what's confusing but look at the timer circles closely in the middle and you will see what I mean. It's very easy but really awkward to explain. lol"
And I responded:
"they're both on the middle ones, i didn't touch any of that"
so i am stuck. i checked and as far as I can see, everything is plugged in correctly. does anyone know what could be wrong?
